"New Life" is Christy's first full collaboration with Mark Rippe. Their intent was to write a song that would challenge both of them and result in something entirely different from what either of them could produce on their own. Christy wrote the words; Mark wrote the melody and arranged it in his beautiful way. The result is this unique and special baptismal anthem.

"New Life" was written to be a baptismal anthem. Additionally, though, with the sanctity of life being so hotly debated in today's world, the opening verses and chorus would be a beautiful and poignant theme song for a life-affirming ministry's promotional videos.

"In Remembrance" was born when, in 2003, Christy's pastor asked her to write an original song their church could sing in preparation for Holy Communion. "In Remembrance" became the first song she shared publicly, and, ever since, it has been sung by congregations around the world.

"In Remembrance" was originally written for a pastor to sing Verses 1 and 2 while preparing the Communion elements, with the congregation joining on Verse 3. The song can also be sung by a small group or choir during Communion or used when celebrating Holy Communion with a house church or in informal settings, such as at camps and retreats or while visiting the homebound.

One Sunday, as Christy’s husband drove their family home from church, she thought about how much simpler memorizing the creeds might be if they were put to music. As she focused on the words of the Apostles’ Creed, she attached a melody to each line and wove them together into a song; it was complete by the time they arrived home.

This song closely adheres to the traditional words of the creed, so it is appropriate to be sung congregationally, or by a soloist for worship services. Rather than fitting a fixed musical template, the tune takes its cues from the message and meter of the words. When introducing it in bite-sized pieces, this song is an excellent teaching tool for children, and people of all ages.

Christy has observed—as most everyone has—that it is becoming increasingly difficult to take a stand for the Christian faith in today's culture. As she wrote "No Matter the Cost," she was thinking of the church she attends, and others like it, which have made the choice to lead in love and stand up for God's truth, even when the cost was great.

Reminiscent of the classic Christian hymn "Onward, Christian Soldiers," this song is a natural fit anytime a body of Christians gathers to boldly declare the stand they intend to take in today’s culture. While it is ideal for corporate worship at men’s gatherings, youth rallies, conventions, and more, its words also invite thoughtful reflection as we consider our role in standing for God’s truth in the world.

When Christy’s children were little, she wrote this simple song to remind them of the special, unique, and holy things that took place in their church. "God’s House" had its debut in a church "coffee house" presentation in 2007, when her (then, 8-year-old) daughter sang it as a solo, accompanied by her mom on the piano.

This song's melody and lyrics are simple enough for even the youngest children to sing. It is ideal for Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, homeschooling, family devotions, and children's bedtimes, as a sweet reminder of God's presence in our lives. The hymn version is written in SATB, making it a good first introduction to singing in parts for older children.

One day, as Christy was thinking of Paul's words in Philippians 1:3, she thought of her co-writer and arranger Mark Rippe’s kindness and generosity, and the melody and text for the chorus quickly came to mind. Soon after, Christy attended a Cursillo weekend and was filled with gratitude for the people who had worked so faithfully to make it all happen. Following that experience, Christy added verses to the original chorus, resulting in this complete song. For Christy, this song has been a benediction of blessing and thanks for the many fellow Christians who have helped her in her Christian journey throughout her life.

This song was written to be sung as a benediction over those who have contributed to others' life and ministry. It could be used for missions gatherings, volunteer or clergy appreciation, or anytime someone wants to express their thanks in song. One listener even suggested it would be a beautiful addition to a wedding.

Throughout Christy’s life, the parable of the house built on the sand in Matthew 7:24–27 has brought a vivid and tumultuous image to mind each time she heard it. After the story was read at church one Sunday, she sat down at her piano and roughed out the driving melody of the chorus that had been brewing in her imagination for years. The words and pulsating rhythm of the chorus transport us into the midst of the lesson this parable holds—we do not need to be tossed in the storm. And we won’t be when our faith is built on the foundation of Jesus Christ: The Solid Rock.

This song can be used in a contemporary worship setting, for Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and other youth or children's gatherings. It's fun and upbeat, and is an excellent tool for teaching one of Jesus' most well-loved parables.

When she first set out to intentionally create songs that might be helpful to the Church, Christy began from a posture of awe, as she considered what Jesus did for us, why He did it, and the path by which the King of the Universe humbled Himself, paid our debt, and saved all who believe. This song grew out of days and weeks spent pondering these truths. The verses of "Jesus, the Innocent Lamb" present the gospel in song form, while the chorus gives voice to our heartfelt response to His goodness and sacrifice.

This song can be used for all styles of worship, sung by choirs and congregations ranging from traditional to contemporary. It is especially poignant when used during Lenten and Holy Week services; its focus on Jesus' sacrifice is felt most deeply on Good Friday.
